Create your first task
Create a task from the overview, add content and scheduling, and check that automatic saving has completed.
On this page
- You are signed in and can open Tasks.
- A project or client is optional. Start with an unassigned task if needed.
Open in Klausi (sign-in required)
Open Tasks and create a task
- Open Work → Tasks or follow the task overview link. /aufgaben is the starting overview; the task list is at /aufgaben/liste.
- Choose “New task” in the overview. On a phone, use the plus button at the top with the same accessible label.
- The detail view for a new task opens. The task has already been created; now enter its content.
This guide starts in the task overview. Mobile quick capture within the list view is a different workflow: “Save” first confirms the title entered there.
Add a title and content
Title and text save automatically after your changes. A project and deadline are not required. Some task-editor labels are currently German even when the interface language is English.
- Enter a specific title, such as “Review proposal draft”, in the task title field. Its current placeholder is “Aufgaben-Titel…” and its accessible label is “Aufgabentitel”.
- Add the information you need in the text area below.
- If useful, break a larger task into the available checklist. Review the content before continuing.
Optionally assign a project and schedule
- Open the project selector below the title. An unassigned task displays “Kein Projekt” (no project). Select an existing project if the task belongs to one.
- Open the scheduling selector, such as “Inbox”, and choose “Heute” (today), “Morgen” (tomorrow) or another suitable category if needed.
- Add a deadline only if there is a fixed due date. Then check the displayed details.
Placing a task in Today or Inbox and setting a deadline are separate choices. You can also work on a task without a project or date.
Check the save status and result
- After your last change, wait for the status “Gespeichert” (saved). “Speichere…” means saving is in progress.
- Return to the task view. Open its view selector and choose, for example, “All open” or “Inbox”, depending on where your task belongs.
- Reopen the task and check its title, content and assignment.
There is no final general Save step in the detail view. When leaving a completely empty task, Klausi asks whether to keep or discard it.
If the task is missing or saving fails
- Task missing from the list: check the view, search query and project filter. A task without a date does not automatically appear in Today.
- Status “Fehler” (error): keep a private copy of your unsaved text, check your connection and do not leave the page without checking. Verify later which changes were saved.
- Creating appears to fail: check the task list before repeatedly choosing “New task” and creating several empty tasks.
